Located on a small little holy island just off the coast from northumbria, Lindisfarne is only accessible via a small mainland causeway. When the tide comes in there is no way on or off the island. The castle itself was converted just over a century ago and is now open to the public. The latest exhibition on offer at the castle is about the untold stories of the residents from the last 500 years. There is a free children’s trail running every day as well as themed activities including crafts, wildlife trails and castle attacks!
